Baseball Americana

Identity, Exhibition, Print

Baseball Americana features items from the Library of Congress’s collections and those of its lending partners to consider the game of baseball then and now—as it relates to players, teams, and the communities it creates. Visitors enter the gallery and find themselves in the center of a baseball diamond, where they experience the exhibit from the perspective of the players. The focal point of the exhibit is a abstracted section of the stadium and graphic of a pitcher throwing the ball.
